The Diversity Initiative addresses businesses' challenges in recruiting, welcoming and retaining talented employees from diverse backgrounds. The Diversity Initiativesets up resources to provide businesses with Cultural Ambassadors to meet one-on-one with new and potential recruits to help acclimate them into the region; host quaterly welcome receptions to connect newcomers;andraise awareness of multi-cultural happenings within the Quad-City region.

Scott County, Iowa, with its largest cities being Davenport and Bettendorf, is located in the heart of the Midwest bounded on the southerly side by the mighty Mississippi River and is one of the few locations that the river runs in an easterly westerly direction.
Iowa Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce speaks on behalf of the business community regarding laws and regulations impacting companies located in Scott County. The IAQCC serves as a conduit for companies to access city councils and state legislators in an effort to advance the specific needs or information related to their business.
