Research & Information Resources
The Business Information for Growth (BIG) Program, in cooperation with the Eastern Iowa Community College District, provides business owners, entrepreneurs and students access to highly sophisticated business and economic information from online databases at no charge. It can produce vital business information and market research for start-ups or existing businesses looking to expand.
BIG training is held at the NewVentures Center every Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Call (563) 327-0160 to schedule an appointment.

Employer Resource Directory – This comprehensive resource guide lists staffing agencies, human resource services, local and national job boards, education and training resources, workforce agencies and internship resources to help employers with their workforce attraction and retention needs.

Business Intelligence Report – Distributed by e-mail each month, the report will provide the latest strategies, news, trends and tips for strengthening business performance and success. Iowa Quad Cities Chamber members will receive this valuable and informative resource at no charge.
Business Expansion and Retention Consulting
Whether a company has the capability to grow its revenues and needs help with expansion logistics, or has a need for strategic planning to determine growth potential, Iowa Quad Cities Chamber Economic Development staff will be hands-on in helping to identify opportunities that could result in new primary jobs and investment. Services include:
• Logistical support with zoning, building permits and real-estate development
• Technical assistance with incentives and programs
• Problem-solving with regulatory entities
• Advocacy with governmental and regulatory authorities on behalf of prospects and existing companies
• Public relations on behalf of companies/prospects
Customized Business Planning Services
NewVentures staff provides businesses assistance with their strategic and business plan development. Services include, but are not limited to:

• Financial analysis
• Loan packaging
A Chance to Meet… is a forum for local, smaller business vendors and suppliers to meet the purchasing decision-makers for major companies. Attendees learn about the purchasing procedures, requirements and what products or services the company purchases. It’s a great opportunity for local suppliers/vendors to get in the door and learn how to do business with major companies
Typically held the third Tuesday of each month from 8:00-9:00 a.m. at DHCU Community Credit Union, 1900 52nd Ave., Moline
NetOne is a power-networking program that provides business professionals and salespeople the opportunity to make new business contacts and increase exposure for their business’ products and services. Attendees are seated at a table where they share a 60-second “commercial” of their company with seven other tablemates. Participants are then rotated every 15 minutes to a different table where they meet an entirely new set of business contacts.
Typically held the first Tuesday of every other month from 7:30-9:00 a.m. at locations throughout the Quad Cities
Water Cooler Talk offers members the opportunity to hear from local experts on business fundamentals such as sales, marketing, public relations, customer service and leadership. After learning tips and resources from a local expert, participants break out into small discussion groups to share best practices and business challenges pertaining to the topic.
Typically held the fourth Wednesday of each month from 7:30-9:00 a.m. at the NewVentures Center, 331 W. Third Street, downtown Davenport
